Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, Apex Professional University is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956. Our Ph.D. program follows UGC regulations and guidelines for admission, coursework, supervision, and evaluation.

Candidates with valid NET/GATE/SET/UET scores and any other equivalent test conducted by a Government of India-accredited agency (to be decided by the selection committee) are exempted from the entrance test but have to appear for an interview. M.Phil. degree holders from UGC accredited universities are also exempted from the entrance test but have to appear for an interview. II. Clearing the online Research Entrance Test of Apex Professional University is followed by an interview for the vacancies not filled by the NET/SET/GATE & other equivalent examination qualified candidates. However, a candidate must have cleared a Master's (PG) degree or equivalent as per UGC norms from a UGC recognised Indian/foreign university in the respective discipline with a score of minimum score of 55% or equivalent CGPA. A 5% relaxation in score for SC/ST/OBC/SWS candidates, i.e., a minimum of 50% or equivalent CGPA, is allowed in a PG degree or equivalent as per UGC norms.

  • Final selection is based on merit, research aptitude, and subject compatibility.

Yes. After the interview and initial evaluation, candidates are assigned or may request guides based on research area compatibility, availability, and approval by the Doctoral Research Committee.

  • Minimum: 3 years (including coursework)
  • Maximum: 6 years
    Extensions are subject to approval based on progress and justification.

  • Remote Research Mode (with periodic campus visits)

A candidate must have obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from a UGC recognised University, and a Candidate shall have -

  1. Ten years of experience in teaching or research, and
  2. A minimum of ten research papers published in the indexed journals with a high impact factor; or
  3. Candidates must have either one patent in a relevant discipline or two published books with an ISBN and five research papers published in indexed journals.

The admission process includes:

  • Final selection is based on merit, research aptitude, and subject compatibility.
