Mr. Santa Mandal joined the School of Health and Allied Sciences as a Senior Assistant Professor in January, 2020.
He has 6 years research experience in Defence Research and Development Organization (Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India, Tezpur, Assam). He has successfully completed the DRDO project and Ph.D topic “Investigation of Paraquat Induced Toxicity and Exploration of Possible Treatment through Pharmacological Approach”. His research area is toxicity and efficacy testing of various pharmaceutical product in animal models (rats, mice, rabbits, guinea pigs) by use of analytical instruments like HPLC, GC-MS, LC-MS, Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy, at genetic levels using advanced molecular techniques like In-vivo Imaging, ELISA, Whole Body Plethysmography, Western blot, PCR, RT-PCR analysis. Special preference is given to formulations which are capable of enhancing the combat efficiency of the Indian Army.
